Matthew Garrison, DDS
Dr. Garrison grew up in the Northland and attended William Jewell College for his undergraduate studies before obtaining his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has practiced dentistry here in Smithville since 1996 and has always been committed to providing the most comprehensive dental care possible, though he realizes all patients come in with different goals for their oral health. He strives to remain up to date on the latest dental procedures and techniques with continuing education classes. He is an active member and past president of the oldest study club in the Kansas City area, the University Study Club of Kansas City; past president of the Clay-Platte Dental Society; and active in the Northland Study Club. He is also a past trustee of the board of the Liberty Hospital Foundation. His other professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Greater Kansas City Dental Association.
Dr. Garrison and his wife, Kay, are the proud parents of four kids: daughters Paige, Blair, and Blake and son Tate. Dr. Garrison enjoys music and plays guitar and piano. He loves and has coached lots of sports, including competitive swimming, basketball, soccer, and baseball, but now that the kids are older, he finds more time for his true passions of fishing and hunting and even habitat restoration of his family farm north of Smithville. He and his family have also been involved with their church for 28 years.
